ABOUT ME

I've been on my own roller-coaster of a diet and fitness journey over the years and, believe me I know what it is like to be unhappy in the body you're in. There's a minefield of confusing information out there. From crash diets to cutting carbs, to endless cardio, I've done it all! And failed miserably, and BEEN miserable, many times in the process. “Obviously I am not trying hard enough” I’d tell myself. “I’ll start again tomorrow….” And so it continued.


I struggled to make lasting change until I realised just how much emphasis I was putting on the connection between my weight and my worth. And that what I was doing – the diets, the punishing exercising, the restrictive food rules… despite outwards appearances and what society encourages -  wasn’t healthy. 


What IS healthy – is balance. 


I trained to become a PT and armed myself with all the knowledge about exercise and nutrition. But there was still something missing. We all know the mantra of “eat less, move more” to lose weight – so if it's that easy why do we all struggle? I realised that being a certain weight is WAY more than just food and exercise. That’s when I embarked on my journey to become a holistic health and wellness coach. 


I know now that my optimal body isn’t about blindly chasing a certain size. My optimal body is the result of a lifestyle that is built on my priorities – that comes from a place of nourishment not punishment, sustainability not “all or nothing” thinking, and a 360 approach and understanding as to what really makes me happy in my own skin. My weight has stayed the same for years at a place I am happy with, fuelled by a lifestyle that works for me.  And now I am passionate about helping others to achieve the same.
